The Round Lipgloss is a bit dissapointing in comparison to the Megashine (I’ll write more on this in my next post).

The Megashine, on the other hand and as always, I love them!

• Natural is a brownish pink shade that will look great on any complexion (this is a staple on my make up pouch!)
• Silver Plum is a deep plum with the right amount of bronze shimmer.

Btw, do you notice the Megashine’s new packaging?

On the pic above, the old one is the one in the middle. New packaging has simpler design with big ‘NYX’ writing on the tube

And the cap is now shiny, with a little ribbon on top. What do you think?

Now on to the lipstick..

Pumpkin Pie is a pretty peachy brown shade, as you can see on the swatch above. However, the colour is not showing on my pigmented lips, regardless on how pigmented it is when I swatch is on my hand. Definitely a bummer since I like the colour a lot. If anything, I think Pumpkin Pie will do paler lips a better justice. So if you got pale lips, you might want to give this shade a try.

EDIT: Now am in love with pumpkin pie! I dunno what’s wrong with my lip (or my eye?) the first time I tried it.. But it’s now such a pwettyy color on me.. pinky peach with satin finish.. me likey!

Glow is a warm plummy pink blush. Blended, it gives a radiant yet natural colour. I love the healthy glow it gives my complexion!

Swatches: Revlon Matte Series Lipsticks

Lovely aren’t they?

Pink Pout is a cool toned baby pink with a tinge of purple
Mauve It Over is a subtle pink nude colour
Pink About It is a watermelon pink with some splashes of coral
Strawberry Suede is a bright coral red
Really Red is a really, really red but still wearable lipstick
In The Red is a deep berry red

My fave of the bunch is Pink About It, it gives me that fresh look without shouting ‘I’m trying to look younger!’ Mauve It Over has my vote also, it’s a great MLBB, very natural, and doesn’t wash me off. I use it to tone down strong coloured lipsticks on my traincase, and am loving the end results.

My general review:

The lipsticks come in a sleek packaging. It’s a sturdy black dove tube, with dove silver inning. Definitely far from cheap look. The top of the tube is a transparent plastic, allowing you to peek in to the colour inside, that way you don’t have to turn the tube over to read the label, or opening each one to find the desired color trough your collection.

The product itself is unscented, which is always an extra yay for me. It’s not as creamy as NYX’s round lipstick, not as moisturizing also, but I don’t find this drying either. The colour payoffs are great, you don’t have to glide it over and over to get an opaque colour. Lasting power is also not dissapointing. Me likey.

Price are also reasonable, it retails around IDR 50000 each here. What I don’t like is that not every colour in this series is available in Indonesia. Nude Attitude, which is their most raved shade, is not avail here, along with some other shades. Grh.

What I like about this product:

• Decent price.
• Not drying my lips.
• Colour payoffs are great
• Long lasting power

What I don’t like about this product:

• Colour selection is limited
• Not every colour is available in Indonesia

Will I repurchase: If they have some new colours here, I gotta say yes.

As you can see in the swatch pic, Dodo is more on the pinkish beige side than Apieu. Apieu still has a tinge of yellow, while Dodo doesn’t have any. Apieu Fresh is the same shade with Moist, if you’re wondering, they only differ on their finishes. Moist has glowy finish, while Fresh is more matte.

I blend a lil bit of them on my skin, right next to the cream dots. Blended, they’re not that different in shades. But I notice Apieu blends way better and easier than Dodo. Apieu doesn’t sink on my fine line, while Dodo does.

With those being said, I declare my love to Apieu again.

Gasp.

Magenta got me (yes, am a purple sucker). Before I knew, I had filled their order form, treating myself a Krey Magenta and a Classic Berry (just in case my Magenta gets lonely). Cottonink responded my email quite fast, considering how overwhelmed they were at that time (their new collection got insane market response!). I transfered my payment, emailed them again to confirm it, and.. Voila, they arrived today!

I love love love them! The colours are a bit off from their blog, but still very pretty. The texture is thin and stretchy, like T-shirts, so I gotta be careful in washing and storing them. I’ve been playing with them up until I decided to write this post.  They’re so fun to play with, how you can fashion them is endless, especially the Krey. Am thinking about getting another one (or two? three?) of this pretty little things. I might try fringe? acid? In Neon Grass maybe? Or Sand? Aaarrggh, I smell another addiction comin my way.. = =”

After my experiment with Dodo BB Cream, am now going for another BB Cream hunt. This time: Missha Nature Pure A’pieu in Moist. Here we go.

Product claims:

Apieu Nature Pure BB Cream protects your skin against UV rays and makes it moisturized and supple with white flower complex and trouble-cure ingredients. With SPF 20/ PA++.

Retail price and availability: Haven’t checked whether this product is retailed in Missha counters in Indonesia or not, I bought this online. It retails for about IDR 150000 / 30 ml.

My skin type: Ranging from dry to normal, acne prone, generally dehydrated

My skin color: NC35, yellow-gold undertone

My general review:

What pleased me first when I squirted the product out of its tube was the consistency. It’s runny! It’s definitely thinner than Dodo BB Club, about the same (if not runnier) than Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation. Does the thin texture makes it easier to blend? Yes! *Yay* I can blend it effortlessly even only with my fingertips. Gotta love that!

The colour is beige, it has slight tinge of pink too, but not as pinkish as Dodo. The shade is very forgiving on my skin. It evens out my skintone, and blurs most of my blemishes. I gotta say the coverage is sheer, but buildable. I can’t build the coverage up without it getting cakey (yet). So when I wear this, and need more coverage, I’ll pat some concealer on top. What I like the most is the finish it gives, very glowy and natural. It ‘back-from-long-vacation-and-very-happy’ed my face up.

I can’t comment much on oil control, given how dry my skin currently is, but it does last all day (with one or two puffs of loose powder touch ups in midday). It doesn’t dry out my skin, or to be exact, it even mousturizes it, my skin feels more supple after I cleanse. As far as I can tell, it doesn’t break me out (at least after a week of use).

Side notes:

It is said that A’pieu Moist is for dry/normal skin, if your skin is oily/combo you might want to opt for Apieu Fresh instead.

What I like about this product:

• Decent price.
• Easy to blend
• Great glowy finish.
• Moisturizing.
• Fine lasting power
• Doesn’t break me out.
• The extra SPF 20 /PA++ is always a plus
• Skin felt good after cleansing

What I don’t like about this product:

• Nothing

Will I repurchase: Maybe. Or maybe I still want to wander around the BB Cream jungle. Hahah.

Overall rating: 9/10

Like this BB Cream, but I still think I can find better. We’ll see.
